2.20 lakh people from Delhi to AP and Telangana till March 23, Railways revealed
The sudden rise of coronavirus cases in the country has led to real-time Markaz prayers in Delhi. The Tabligh Jamaat Conference , which was held from March 1 to 15, was attended by a large number of people from all over the country. Nearly 2,000 cases have been reported in the last four days, 70 per cent of them. Corona positive cases have increased in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with those who go to Delhi Jamaat prayers. However, the whereabouts of some of those who went to these prayers are still unknown.
The Markaz compound was held from March 1 to 15. In this backdrop, the South Central Railway has requested the Central and Central Railway authorities for all trains arriving from Delhi from March 11 to 23. According to the Center for Railway Information System (Chris) officials, 2.20 lakh names, cell numbers and addresses of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been issued. The details of the passengers who landed at the railway stations of Telangana and AP have been provided to the state governments.
Railway officials said the Maharashtra government had also sought information on commuters who landed at Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur stations. A senior Telangana official said that the Railway Ministry has identified the people who have not yet reached Quarantine based on the list provided by them.
