NIA court grants bail to SMSS leader Manash Konwar
Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) leader Manash Konwar has been granted bail by NIA court on Monday morning. Konwar has been imprisoned in Guwahati Central Jail post his arrest on December 22, 2019 (case number 13/19)along with KMSS leaders Akhil Gogoi, Dhairjya Konwar, and Bitu Sonowal.
Senior advocates Jiyaur Kamar and Sahtanau Barthakur represented Konwar at the court. It may be mentioned here that bail pleas of KMSS general secretary Dhairjya Konwar and Bitu Sonowal would be heard by the NIA court on Tuesday. Akhil Gogoi’s hearing for bail on the same case would be taken up by the court on Wednesday.
