Manipur’s second COVID-19 patient tests negative

Manipur’s second covid 19 patient has been tested negative of novel Coronavirus disease. Now Manipur has zero case of COVID-19 as on date as two cases of Manipur have confirmed negative. The patient is undergoing treatment at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal.

The state has so far detected only two cases of covid-19, the first COVID-19 person who had travel history from UK to Manipur was discharged from JNIMS Hospital Imphal on 12th April after testing negative for the third time. The sample of second COVID-19 patient of Manipur was tested today at VRDLs of RIMS and JNIMS and found negative. He is likely to be discharged soon, if the next test result is found negative. The 65-year-old man, who also attended the Nizamuddin’s congregation in Delhi last month was tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur on April 2.
