Health secretary and NHM director removed on corruption charges

Tripura health secretary Debashis Basu and National Health Mission (NHM) director Aditi Majumder were removed from their posts after corruption charges were levelled against them. It was alleged that the duo had wrongfully purchased COVID-19 kits and hand sanitizers and there was a misappropriation of fund of around Rs 34 lakhs.
