Father rapes daughter in Tripura
A differently-abled girl was raped by her father in West Ichailalchara area under Kadamtala police station in North Tripura district on Tuesday night.The incident came to light on Friday only after the 14-year-old victim’s mother narrated the incident to child welfare authorities and lodged a complaint.
The victim said that taking advantage of the vacant house, her father raped her even though she pleaded him not to.“Even though the victim reported about the incident to her mother, she, however, decided to remain silent and did not wish to go against her husband,” an official said.
“However, she decided to break the silence today and register a complaint,” the official added.A case has been registered against the accused with Kadamtala Police Station under section 376 AD/376(2)(F)/ 376(2)(L)/325/506/201 IPC -04 of POSCO act 2012.
