Miscreant nabbed with ganja worth Rs 40,000 at Guwahati rly station

Government Railway Police (GRP) on Sunday apprehended a miscreant and seized a huge consignment of marijuana (ganja) from his possession. The seizure was made at the Guwahati railway station. The arrested miscreant has been identified as one Bhaskar Baruah. Aged around 23 years, he hails from Morioni in eastern Assam’s Jorhat district. The GRP personnel nabbed the miscreant at around 7 am on Sunday morning. The seized ganja weighed around five kg. According to the railway police, the seized ganja is worth Rs 40,000. The seizure was made from the 12423 Down Rajdhani Express which was waiting at platform no 1 at the Guwahati railway station. The miscreant was nabbed from bogie no eight along with the contraband substance.
